It makes me remember that in German you rather say that the sun is feminine and the moon masculine.
Der Mond, Die Sonne.
and that it's the opposite in the other languishes:
La Luna, La lune, El Sol, Le Soleil.
but English is really a neutral languish:
The Moon, The Sun.
Which of those do you prefer ?
